Tyler believes life is an adventure. Whether working in school communications, public relations for major brands — or crossing the globe to work as an educator in Hong Kong and Warsaw, Poland — he tells the stories that connect people and drive positive change for organizations and communities using integrated marketing communications. 

The bulk of Tyler’s 10+ years of strategic communications experience is in the K-12 space. Working both in-house and in support of education organizations, he has served public and charter schools as a partner, adviser and advocate. Tyler’s K-12 roles include communications manager with the Illinois Network of Charter Schools and head of consulting for Nichols Strategies in Sacramento, Ca. Previously, he served on the communications teams in two California school districts, San Juan and Folsom Cordova.

He has a bachelor’s degree in public relations and marketing from California State University, with a master’s degree in marketing from Southern New Hampshire University.

Tyler offers CEL clients a unique mix of business insight and education communication that inspires his use of integrated marketing communications strategies to overcome challenges and reach goals. 


Tyler’s 2022 adventures have included getting married and relocating to Minnesota. At home, he and his wife enjoy spoiling two kittens more than any cat parents have ever spoiled a cat before.


Volunteer with the American Heart Association in the Twin Cities.

Spent four days in Rome with only $14 USD to spend, subsisting only on Coca-Cola and crackers from restaurants.
