Kristin Boyd Edwards didn’t always want to be a communicator. But when her dream to become a baker was crushed as a child, she turned to her trusty notebook.
By the time she had finished processing the disappointment of a burnt chocolate cake, she began to fall in love with writing, storytelling and design.
After graduating from Temple University, her communications talents were put to use as a journalist. But shortly after relocating to her hometown, she landed the role of Communications Director for the Reading (Pennsylvania) School District.
From content creation to crisis communications — and everything in between — Kristin believes public relations is where she feels at home. Her work consistently elevates organizational success through communications as she uses transparency, strategic listening, responsiveness and inclusion to share the good stuff happening every day.
Her strategic writing and social media work have gained national attention, including a spot on Good Morning America for her fall 2020 Kid Superintendent video, multiple awards from the National School Public Relations Association and the Social Media All-Star Award in the 2021 Best of School Social Media.
Kristin brings to CEL clients expertise and her successful track record in storytelling, social media engagement, content strategy, two-way communication, and media placement.
A wife and mom of three boys, Kristin (a.k.a. KBE) is happiest when her diverse and talented bunch spend time enjoying music, movies or sports together. She also loves to surprise her family and friends with sidewalk chalk messages on special occasions.
