Branding Your Company LinkedIn Page

When it comes to LinkedIn, we have discussed that there are the right things to do and there are LinkedIn mistakes to avoid. One of the things you want to make sure you do right with a company page, is the branding and voice of your page.

Let people know who you are. When professionals visit your company LinkedIn page, you want them to know exactly what your company is about within the first minute of looking at your page. If not knowing exactly who you are and what you do, then they should be able to be able to find out how to get the information they need in a timely manner.

Have a consistent voice. You want to make sure you have a voice that is consistent across all channels. Your LinkedIn page should reflect the same message and keywords that your website, Facebook, Twitter and any other channels you may have. A consistent brand voice will help current and potential customers keep up with your business without having to put in extra effort.

Make sure you utilize the LinkedIn company page banner. Your banner should be something that is consistent with the rest of your social media and that represents your company’s message or theme. It shouldn’t be just any image. Make sure the banner is relevant, high quality and engages the customer to want to know more about your business.

Fix the little things. Last, but certainly not least, you need to make sure all your links and information are correct. If you have outdated information or broken links, that can discredit you and cause someone leave your page with the possibility of never returning.

Don’t waste a great marketing opportunity like LinkedIn to drive people to your website and to show people what your business can do for them.
