Project SCORE Provides More Than Game Highlights
Never underestimate the power of a small group of people dedicated to accomplishing what others see as impossible. Last year, the Wayzata Boosters proved this statement true as they successfully secured a new digital scoreboard for Wayzata High School.
After two years of hard work, the Project SCORE volunteer committee, led by Cathy Roth, brought the community together and raised enough money to install this new scoreboard on the Wayzata Football Field.
Beyond providing football and soccer scores in a new and exciting way, Project SCORE has used the scoreboard to better the Wayzata community. It has been used to celebrate State championships, pay tribute to former coaches, and highlight special school events and activities.
Project SCORE has also helped enrich Wayzata High School students’ classroom experience. Students in the TV Production and Graphics & Animation classes have had the opportunity to create content for the scoreboard. Students have designed Trojan Pride graphics, created spotlight videos, and even had the opportunity to provide instant replay coverage during games.
As a business passionately committed to the betterment of business, family and the community, CEL is proud to be a sponsor of Project SCORE, alongside other Wayzata community businesses, such as Bay Creek Dental. Congratulations to the Wayzata School District, the City of Plymouth, the Wayzata Boosters and the entire team of Project SCORE on a successful inaugural season.
