A Successful Event of the National Parkinson Foundation MN

Last night was the National Parkinson Foundation Minnesota (NPFM) Annual Soiree, and the event was a blast!

The silent auction had many great items, and 7 Days A Cappellawas there to serenade all of the guests with some beautiful songs.

Board Chair Paul Blom of Right At Home – Twin Cities and South Suburbs kicked off the night by sharing some great news about the 2011 fundraising efforts as well as reminders for the exciting NPFM events that will take place this summer.

Paul introduced Dave Schwartz of KARE 11 as the emcee for the night, and what a treat it was! Dave began by sharing his personal connection to Parkinson’s disease. His grandmother suffered from the disease, and she felt very strongly about joining the fight to support research and find a cure.

We heard some great information about the new Aware in Care kits for Parkinson’s patients. They are wonderful packs that are designed to make hospital stays safer and easier for Parkinson’s patients and their care providers.

Julie Steen was formally introduced as the Executive Director of NPFM, and she and the dedicated volunteers are continuing to work together to raise awareness and support the F.A.I.R. Fight against Parkinson’s disease.

We were thrilled to be a part of this great event to help the organization with media relations and Real-Time PR. We’re already counting down to the 2012 Moving Day Twin Cities on May 12. We hope you can be there to join us all to walk with NPFM!
