Following a strategic communications audit, White Bear Lake Area Schools identified their website as a valued communications tool in need of an upgrade. The outdated platform was cluttered, hard to navigate and difficult to search. Redesigning the site for a more user-friendly experience also required making it mobile-friendly and ADA compliant.

For this once-a-decade project, the communications team turned to CEL as their advocate and adviser. We drafted the RFP, evaluated vendor proposals, streamlined navigation and managed the project from discovery and planning through migration, training and launch.

White Bear Lake Area Schools new website offers many new features for students, families, staff and community members. In-depth analytics assessments guided decisions for sitemapping. The enhanced search capability, user-centric sitemap and integration with Google calendars and social media streams ensures dynamic, easy-to-find and up-to-date content. Shared district content across school pages streamlines updates and ensures accuracy across all sites — applying our web mantra: create once and publish across pages, maintaining content in only one location.

Our expert project-management and added content migration support ensured an on-time launch and delivered on all the goals for the project. The website is again positioned to be a primary source of important information for White Bear Lake Area Schools families and community. It is mobile-friendly, accessible for all and moving into personalized translation pages to better serve all its families.
