St. Louis Art Fair Kicks Off

CEL was in St. Louis, Missouri early this week to coordinate media coverage surrounding the kick off event for the Saint Louis Art Fair. The goal was to get Saint Louisans to save the date for the main event to be held September 9-11 in the heart of Clayton, MO.  CEL’s media specialist Carol Scheer booked the excellent media coverage to promote the kick-off.

The highlight was a Fox 2 TV news story focused on Dr. Susan Uchitelle who started the Saint Louis Art Fair with her husband, Ben, in 1994. Susan has been an avid art collector for many years and has filled her home with art from the event for the past 17 years. When Uchitelle decides which piece to buy, she says, “It’s a combination of talking to the artist, see what they have, you get engaged and when you buy something it also means a lot more.” Uchitelle has, indeed, been engaged in the arts community. The St. Louis Art Fair is now the second largest in the nation!
