MN Vikings Return to Outdoor Football at TCF Stadium
Indoor turf at a controlled temperature below a Teflon dome vs. the outdoor stadium that as of just a few days earlier was buried in snow and ice…do you have a preference for a football playing field? Let’s just hope that the Vikings don’t. What about the fans? A ticket holder can get used to cheering on the team without being decked out in winter clothes while sitting on a cold seat outdoors. So how will the Vikings and their fans handle being forced into the outdoor TCF Bank Stadium of the University of Minnesota Gophers due to the Teflon tear on the roof of the Metrodome?
The Vikings recently announced that the seating in the TCF Stadium, which has 14,000 fewer seats than the Metrodome, will be given away on a first-come-first-serve basis for ticket holders. There is an option for season ticket holders to forfeit their tickets, however, the refund will not be given back to fans immediately – it will be credited to next year’s ticket package.
What do you think about the Vikings choice to give seating on a first-come-first-serve basis for ticket holders? Is there a better solution?
