3 Social Media Management Tools That Can Help Your Business

Finding time to focus on social media while managing a busy work schedule can be difficult, especially in a small business. Lucky for us, there are a variety of tools that help us monitor social media platforms quickly and efficiently.

Here are 3 of our favorite social media management tools:

Flipboard is an app available for your phone or tablet that allows you to quickly flip through articles from Facebook friends or Twitter accounts you follow. Presented like an online magazine, the app also allows you to “subscribe” to magazines regarding specific topics, from news to technology to design. These subscriptions collect trending articles on these topics and present them to you in an easy to browse format.

Flipboard connects to your social media accounts and allows you to easily share articles on Twitter, Facebook or Google+ directly from your phone or tablet.

HootSuite allows you to monitor and manage multiple social networks, track brand mentions and keywords, and schedule messages and tweets. The home feed tracks your newsfeeds, recent mentions, and the posts you send from your various accounts, using tabs to keep your accounts organized.

HootSuite also allows you to schedule messages and posts for different times, so you can stay active on social media throughout the day.

Netvibes is a great platform for monitoring keywords. You can easily track brand mentions or important keyword hits on Netvibes. Beyond keyword searches, you can also track things like Flickr photo tags or simply monitor news sites. When you know who’s talking about you, you have a better idea of who to connect with on social media.

When engaging in social media, it is important to know who is mentioning you and what is being discussed. This allows you to be an active part of the conversation. A variety of tools are out there to help you implement your social media strategy in an easy but effective way.

Flipboard, HootSuite and Netvibes have helped our company manage our social media and we hope they can help you as well! We know there are more social media management platforms out there. What are some of your favorites?
