Accentuate the positive!
Well, I can certainly tell that it’s the “November book,” otherwise known as an important rating period in the world of television news. Now, in addition to the threat of a pending recession, I’m being told that my health is at risk if I touch the handle of a shopping cart in the grocery store or sit on the carpeting in my living room. Oh, and then there’s the granite countertop in my kitchen that could be poisoning me with exposure to radon. It’s tough to absorb all this when I know I’m already one foot in the grave from drinking from plastic water bottles!
I encourage you to dare to be different and focus on the positive. I believe that it’s what people want. Everyone is tired of gloom and doom, so stand out by marketing your services with some good news. Focus on the privilege of being a part of a strong community where people value business ethics and service with integrity. Show hope for the future by donating a portion of sales to a local charity or offering a discount to customers who make a donation.
Give the people what they want. Accentuate the positive!
